If you can read this . . .

. . . congratulations! You're literate! ;-)

No, seriously, if you're reading this, it means you have successfully navigated from my old blog at livejournal to this new one on blogger.com. Welcome!

After three and a half years on LJ, I've decided it's time for some change. Blogger offers a lot of fun and interesting options for their online journals; no doubt you've noticed some of them already. For those of you who are not bloggie-literate, let me introduce you to The Inkwell:

Most of the stuff you see on the sidebar to your right is self-explanatory. My picture, my bio, pic of the family, pic of Caleb, etc. The links on Favorite Bloggin' Spots will take you to some of my friends' blogs: Heart and Home is my dear friend Ashleigh's spot. Seasons of Life is her mother, Mishel's blog. The Smell of Lavender belongs to another dear friend Natalie. Feel free to visit these sites; these women are all wonderful, funny Christian ladies seeking the Lord with their hearts and lives.

Favorite Surfin' Spots is a collection of websites I visit regularly, or are of important note. Feel free to visit these as well, or ask me questions about them.

As time goes by, I will probably add new friends to my Bloggin' Spots bar and new websites to Surfin' Spots. When I do, I'll make sure to announce it in a post, so stay tuned!

Quote of the Day is just that: I've subscribed to a quote website that will change the quote on my blog every day. Not entirely sure I'm going to like this feature; I may just opt for putting my own quotes in. But we'll see; I'm willing to give this a trial run at any rate.

Ancient Historie is simply a record of past blogs, should you wish to revisit a particular post. As I said above, most of this stuff is pretty self-explanatory.

One of my hopes with this new blog, is that it will encourage more of you comment, ask questions, and dialogue with me and other people who read this. If you would like to comment on a post, or ask a question, feel free to leave a comment by clicking on the link at the bottom of any post. If you don't have a website or blog of your own, comment as Anonymous and just be sure to sign your name to the note, so that I know who it's from. Then check back later to see if I've responded!

Since this blog is in its infancy, I will probably spend the next few weeks tweaking and fine-tuning it. A change here, a change there, until I'm fully satisfied with it. There are a few features I want to try out. If I make any major changes, I'll be sure to let you know.

In the meantime, The Inkwell will pretty much serve the purpose that Life As I Live It did; namely, a place for me to write about my life and share pictures with you, my friends and family. My LJ blog will stay for the time being, with my redirection notice, but I will not be posting anything new over there; that blog is officially closed. All the action from here on out will be at The Inkwell. :)

So, enjoy!

Hi Nicole:) I have this burning desire to talk to you and to get to know you,but I don't know how or if I should express what I feel.
You are so understanding and lovable. I am just the man your mom married and I'm just so greatful for being grandpa to Caleb and supporting anyway I can.
I belive in miracles, because Jesus hears my prayers.
love,harry:)
